My name is Joshua Jones I have been competing in sprint triathlons for 2 years. Before then I was a national swimmer which I swam competitively for 4 years, finishing 3rd in England for my age group at Breaststroke.
I really enjoy the training behind each discipline and the fact that you get out what you put it. What motivates me the most is striving to be the best and the buzz from winning.
This year I have stepped up to the mark as I have increased my training amount which has shown in my results. Also a local coach has taken me under his wings supplying me with specific training to help me improve upon my times.
The last Triathlon i did was the ” The Drax Goole Triathlon” and i managed to take the win (presentation pic above) so I was really pleased with this and i’m now really focused on my next event as I’m currently ranked Number 1 in the Point 7 Race Series.
My last triathlon of the year is going to be the Brigg Sprint triathlon, last year I finished 7th overall and my aim for this year is to improve upon this finishing position.
Next year I am looking at doing more Sprint distance races and an Olympic distance triathlon with the hopeful backing of the OTCF.
